Birmingham Central Station Apartment (Flat 2)

Not very good

✓ Absolutely nothing

✗ The building was dilapidated and the flat was rundown. There was cracked tiles in the bathroom. The shower was unusable and disgusting.

Good

✓ Good location. Great place to stay. Safe and secure. Good for 2 or 3 people max. Fair price.

✗ The kitchen utensils could be better. The knives were really dull. Needs sharpening.

Affordable minimalist place to stay for couple days

✓ Overall apartment met our expectations, despite some small inconveniences, it was a good value for money. - location close to city centre and railway station - easy self check in with keys in the keybox - flat was warm and spacious enough for 3 people

✗ Some small and easy improvements can make this place of a better standard: - there was no forks in the kitchen - broken toaster - no toilet tissue in the small toilet - everything feels old, some things need replacing, especially kettle, as it was rusty inside.

Rooms with no view!

✓ Interior decor good, I appreciated the WC wash facilities not seen since living in Middle East. Spacious flat. Private parking. Quiet building

✗ Isolated location surrounded by building sites and overlooked by railway. No mattress cover on bed and only one fork (plastic). Toaster out of order and couldn't get grill to work. Used towels left in bathroom. No toiletries (except loo roll) empty dispensers and no tea/coffee etc (I usually bring my own so not a major issue, just surprised)

great. when we did get in it was a great apartment tbh.

✓ the apartment was just what we were looking for. had all we needed and was in a great location to get round the city. will defo book again when in birmingham without a doubt.

✗ only bad point about this was the codes for the key boxes. the code i had did not work so i had to phone to get them. then it took 3 different codes to open each box as there are 2. and the fold down couch needs to be replaced as it has had its day, and no wifi.

Disappointing

✗ tried to contact landlord multiple times but no response. had issues with Wi-Fi

Front door doesn't lock

✓ The agency that look after the property try their best

✗ The apartment is in a slightly unsavoury looking part of the town. In addition the apartment has a faint smoke smell, no WiFi (or at least not anything I could find) and to top things off the front door didn't lock. When I called to report this I was told someone would come and fix it the next day - so they wanted me to stay there with a front door that didn't lock. I left immediately, and after a month booking.com has not been able to get hold of them. Avoid at all costs

✓ It was reasonably priced and the facilities were nice.

✗ The location is a little confusing on how to get to it. Not really any signs on the outside of the building either.
