Ploy Resort is a 10-minute walk to Kanchanaburi War Cemetery. Featuring free Wi-Fi throughout the property, the hotel offers free private parking. For extra convenience, there is a 24-hour front desk.

✓ Nice homey resort located in central area that you could walk to nearby shops. We actually stay just for attending concert at Cheunrudee Resort which is very closed. We didn't have much time to enjoy resort but we could see nice garden next to the river.
✗ Everything is nearly perfect. Room and toilet are clean. Just little small thing such as hanging or hook for towels. They provide shampoo and liquid soap in shower but no liquid soap on basin.
✓ Picture on Booking cannot do justice to this hidden gem at all! The whole place is beautifully decorated and cozy. Sense of Thai and modern wood interior are well integrated. Our room is super clean. Bathroom is well designed. The pool with Kwai river view is amazingly relaxed. They provide free breakfast as well with 3 options including ham, pancake, and fried rice. Staff are so nice and helpful. The location is right on the Main Street and close to Lotus’s convenience store. I’d highly recommend!
✗ Hot water is not working, but you’re in Thailand so it won’t be a problem. Limited space for car parking. We came back a bit late so ended up parking outside the street
✓ Just really relaxing
✓ the rooms are big and very clean. the location is right on the Main Street and staff is good
✓ There’s a lot of options on this side of Kanchanaburi. It’s central to all the popular bars and restaurants on their “strip” equivalent (Easy Bar, places for tapas, and a mini Lotus). Anywhere TukTuks are parked is usually a sign that there’s tourist foot traffic (most Thai locals are bigger on motorbike taxis or Grab/Bolt).
✗ The only complaint (which shouldn’t be a complaint) is about a slight security flaw, but probably more of a insulation “thing” if temperature changes bother? The wooden French doors! And this would be only for any of the main floor’s rooms (I spent the entire time in this section of the resort, the pool, and the game lounge). Definitely not the standard for exterior doors but has more of a traditional look and idea behind it which makes it chic, for sure. They are only secured by a wooden cross bar that locks the room once inside. The staff here are really a delight, the younger guys working have really high spirits and were super humble. If it were Bangkok, they wouldn’t have a property like this anyway but it’s fine for Kanchanaburi. Staff are not so English fluent, as expected - if you’re visiting, I’d highly recommend Ploy Resort.
✓ I loved this place !! The grounds and gardens were immaculate and so beautiful. The location was great from the train station and the view from the pool area is amazing. The room was like my own little bungalow with a huge glass window so could see out onto a small enclosed garden area. For the first couple of days I was the only guest there but the staff could t do enough for me. They so helpful and friendly although English is not great. However this did t pose a problem at all. I will 100% be back here. I loved it :)
✗ Wifi wasn’t great but got by without it
✓ The best banana pancakes I've had at any hotel!
✗ Our friends found they had no hot water but the staff immediately gave them another room.
✓ the pool area seriously beautiful, so spacious lots of chairs and seating options, even have games. the breakfast area is also super nice. the rooms are great too. really exceeded expectations and I’d definitely book again
