✓ Location great Very cheap Nice staff bUT booked us a taxi to BKK adviced 3hrs. It was more than 4 and we missed our flight
✗ Floating room very very basics and barely comfortable Noise next door at next resort until late
✓ Great location next to the river' and only a very short walk to the both wooden and metal bridges over the river Kwai. Fantastic local restaurant on the right hand side of the road as you come out of the side road from the hotel. Food is amazing and really cheap and locals use it to eat.
✗ Hotel is out dated, nothing like the pictures on the site. We were very disappointed with the low standard and the overall state of the place. They need to update and repair safety issues such as the wooden steps . Bathroom had ceiling coming through ' also bedroom had large bulge in roof. Lots more issues to mention ect.
✓ The bed was comfortable
✗ Far away to everything, breakfast poor
✓ Location was good. On the River Kwai. Walkable distance to River Kwai bridge.
✗ Limited time of breakfast, should be stretched at least till 11.00am.
✗ Scruffy, run-down facilities. Poor bathroom, leaky sink, old electric shower all in same space. No light switches or power sockets with reach from the bed. Old, tired and cheap furniture. Poor breakfast of egg fried rice and toast, instant coffee, make yourself. Down-beat location.
✗ Breakfast was basic.
✓ Having a room right on the river in view of that famous local Bridge is very atmospheric and was about as cheap as camping so go for it if you are a happy camper! Friendly dogs in the grounds. The big open lawn is a very pleasant place from which to soak up the riverside atmosphere and see the stars above :)
✗ I stayed in the cheapest room type here "a room on a floating raft" . Sounded nice but I had read through some of the reviews... "plenty of hot water to shower", sounded great! However that statement doesn't actually apply to the bamboo raft rooms. The reality of these floating rooms is that they are much closer in nature to camping than being a hotel room. This would perhaps be less of an issue if you knew what to expect in advance which is why I write this detail. The walls are mosquito nets with thin curtains stretched tightly across to offer a little visual privacy but there is no audio privacy at all. If one of your neighbours walks around the raft's edge outside of your room you will be very aware and if they are talking it will be as if they are in your room. That audio transparency meant that on the night I stayed, which was in midweek at the height of the covid pandemic, even then the bar on the opposite side of the river played music til at least 11pm. It did stop for the night but equally loud Thai music was played from 05:30 and even with earplugs the music woke me. That seemed really inconsiderate. 05:30 is well before dawn in December! The bed was concave and a bit on the hard side. The shower/toilet block is as you would expect on a basic campsite with only cold water to shower in, a certainly "refreshing" experience in the cool December temperatures. There is a single hand basin on the outside of the block facing the garden so you can expect criticism from onlookers if you haven't brushed your teeth long enough (I'm joking ;) The block was clean enough though. Another word of cation, obviously with mozzie-nets for walls these rooms will be the same temperature as outside. There is a fan which is more than adequate in the cool season but you would be quite warm in the hot season. Wifi signal was pretty low but then you are hanging off the end of the property in these rooms.
Yes,we have .
