"It was a very typical station hotel. Basic facilities and comfort. It was suitable for the two nights I spent there and
✓ The close proximity to the station made it super easy for me to get in and out of the city and do some sightseeing. The room was a decent size for one person and had everything I needed to rest my head after a day walking around Hamburg and a decent shower.
✗ Not a lot of the staff spoke English, only reception, this made breakfast a little awkward when there wasn’t availability for one person. The pillow was also very very soft which gave me severe neck pain the following day. the double bed had a single duvet and there were no spare bedding in the room. The television only had German channels and you couldn’t search the menu to see options only click through channels. It would have been nice if there was a kettle in the room to be able to make a hot drink.

✗ The toilet is separate from the shower room which isn't a problem for me but others may find that not to their liking

✓ The Location was very good only 1 minute walk from Hamburg Central Station and also very close to some of the Christmas Markets. The hotel and room I stayed in was very clean.

✓ Location is good, near the main train station but that is also one of the biggest drawbacks. It gets super loud at night
✗ Hotel needs an update and some sound insulation, you could literally hear everything on the street, floors inside wer squeaking, at that price point I would not want to come again.
