Park Hotel Hamburg Arena

Seen better days but it has some redeeming factors

✓ New, clean and fresh bedding. Staff are pleasant. Breakfast was decent for the price

✗ Needs a make over desperately.

✓ Overall nice hotel in nice area, close to Venues with perfect service

✗ Double bed was too small (140cm) and not really comfortable

great location, but wouldn’t stay here again

✓ the location for the hotel was ideal for our stay, a short trip to the Volksparkstadion and the local train station nearby to get around easily too. The room and hotel overall is very presentable and modern.

✗ the staff weren’t the most helpful, and unfortunately when I brought to their attention that I have received a number of bites on my body (which I believed to be from the bed) they dismissed it as nothing to do with them.

Disappointing

✓ The breakfast buffet

✗ The room was very small and they gave us one small double bed for me to sleep with my coworker, when, in our booking I specified “2 adults”. Also, no heat. we froze through the night…

For me, this was a 5* experience

✓ Exceptional staff, incredibly kind and competent. Very approachable. They've gone great lengths to solve all of my problems or answer any of my questions. Their job is so stressful, but they do their job with vigour and kind-heartedness.

Mediocre Hotel for a high price

✓ The hotel was clean. Breakfast was good considering the hotels class.

✗ - Rented a parking spot for 12€/day, but they overbooked. So in the middle of the night I had no parking space in the hotels garage although I payed for that day. Overall parking is horrendously expensive for the quality of the spots. - Several small things that are not overlooked in other hotels, for instance the cleaning staff did not equip the bathroom's bin with a bag - I had to put it there myself. - Room had two double beds but only one socket accessible from the beds.

✓ Good location and Hamburg is a beautiful city

✗ Bloke at the reception was rude….I will come back to Hamburg for sure - but not this hotel ;)

✓ Close to the Zoo

✗ The bed was definitely too small for 2 people. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable. They offered a Minibar which didn't chilled our drinks. The staff didn't pay attention to their guests needs and were mostly outside smoking. Wouldn't recommend it.
