Charming guesthouse

✓ The guesthouse is really charming and has a nice wood scent. My room was very spacious and the mattress and futon were very comfortable. The guesthouse is located near to bus stop #12 so it easy to travel around even if you didn't rent a car (though bus timings can be rather restrictive). Barbara was so welcoming and gave great recommendations of things to see and do. She even helped give me a ride back from Miyanoura town in the evening after the buses stopped running! Thank you!

✓ Amazing spot, and especially amazing host! Barbara-san was so kind, friendly, and generous, and we felt so lucky to get to meet her and the others staying at the inn. Great location not far from Miyanoura port, with access to the bus for getting around (with careful planning around the limited schedule), and quick walk to a great beach! Like visiting a friend who happens to live in the most beautiful place.

✓ The property is a beautiful old Japanese style house which is on walking distance from Isso beach where you can go diving or snorkeling to see sea turtles and many other sea creatures. And the host was incredibly friendly and helpful. It felt like staying at a friend’s place.

✓ this hotel is located in a very good part of the island close to the beach and Shiratani forest the owner was very helpful. she even offered me to drive me back to the airport for free.

Amazing place, would love to return!

✓ We had a wonderful stay here in Yakushima, Barbara was an amazing host and really went above and beyond to help us out! The room was very comfortable with a lovely view, and the shared rooms (kitchen/bathroom) had everything we needed during our stay. Isso Beach was a short walk away and was a great place to swim and watch the sunset. There's a bus stop nearby - buses around the island aren't so frequent, but we managed to do everything we wanted to by planning ahead with the timetable. Thanks again! Alex + Gabriella
