Barceló Lanzarote Active Resort

Best hotel stayed in to date in Lanzarote but air conditioning and water pressure needs to improve

✓ Modern , good gym , good food , clean

✗ Air conditioning in bedrooms poor and so difficult to sleep

Nice place. Slight improvements needed

✓ Really lovely hotel and if you enjoy being active this is fab. 50m Olympic pool, well equipped gym, regular fitness classes. If you enjoy just chilling the pool areas are lovely

✗ Food was OK. Typical all-inclusive food. Got a bit boring but edible. Had issues with air con in room which wasn't sorted for 2 days. Had to keep asking

It was good, it should have been excellent

✓ I liked the view, the good internet signal and the balcony that was spacious and private,

✗ The hallways carpets were full of stains and there was not to much cleanup going up there.

Great hotel but it’s a bit like Butlins!

✓ Very well organised considering the size of the hotel which is massive. This is a great hotel if you have smaller kids. Otherwise it’s a bit of a nightmare with all the music, and ongoing daily entertainment. It can be a bit annoying.

✗ We found hair in the shower in the bathroom and a makeup mark on one of the towels so it didn’t feel completely clean. However overall the room was nice with very comfortable beds.

Lovely hotel - would definitely recommend!

✓ My room was bigger than I expected. The housekeepers cleaned it and replaced my towels daily. Great view from the balcony. There was a nice variety of food at breakfast. I have decided to join a gym at home after how well things went at the hotel gym. Throughout the week there were many activities set up in the pool area, such as water polo and darts, and live entertainment at night. There were bus stops right outside the hotel, which made travelling easier.

✗ The shower had no door or curtain, so the floor kept being covered in water. The kettle in my room had spots on the inside which looked like mould or limescale, so I didn't use it to be safe.

✓ Very nice place, spacious and cozy. Staff were very friendly and kind. I recommend going for a sea view room, totally worth it.

✗ Maybe its a personal opinion but the quality of the food at breakfast was not what I expected. Loads of industrial bag frozen products and very little fruit choices. Music and other activities at the pool were totally unnecessary.

Lacking in an outside bar and restaurant.

✓ Amazing Olympic pool and gym. Lovely size room.

✗ Not enough leisure pools and areas where you could be apart from other guests if you wanted to.
