Set in a wonderful Aegean setting, the luxurious Rodos Palace offers a wide variety of suites and exceptionally stylish accommodation, and boasts 5 outdoor pools, and 4 restaurants, bar and lounges.

✗ I took the Promo All-Inclusive package and I will say that there were disappointments with my stay at the hotel Rodos Palace. The hotel itself looks well maintained and the room I was in was relatively clean, but way too big for a solo traveler. It was more like for a family. Also, the room was far from the main building (about a 5-minute walk) and that was inconvenient. But I guess that is where they put all of the “promo reservations”. If you’re thinking of booking at this hotel, think twice. You may want to the executive suite. I was disappointed that a 5-star hotel didn’t include water bottles in the room or a piece of chocolate on the pillow or even a thank you card for “staying with us”. That is something I expected and Rodos Palace DID NOT deliver. The all-inclusive deal which includes 3 meals a day was nice and I will say there was variety, but it was repetitive. Every day, the same food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I expected changes in the menu. The performances in the evening were mediocre at best. So, if you’re planning for some entertainment of some kind during your stay, go outside. I was disappointed that the game room and gym were extra charge. I understand if the spa is extra, but for a 5-star hotel, I was shocked. Other than all of the above, my stay was OK and the score I give reflects how I felt for the 4 nights I was there. If you’re planning to stay, beware of some disappointment. Final note for Rodos Palace management, I have an idea for you (free of charge). If you have solo travelers staying with you, try organizing a “Single’s Night” or “Solo Traveler’s Meet&Greet”. This can be a great way to meet other fellow travelers. For breakfast/lunch/dinner, designate a section for just solo travelers. BE PROACTIVE in your guest’s overall stay, unless they say otherwise. I hope this helps to anyone who wishes to stay at this hotel.
✓ Position, close proximity to the beach, restaurants, shops. Easy to get to RhodesTown. Pleasant, green outside areas well maintained.
✗ A lot of walking between Executive room to dining facilities. Would have liked to have breakfast in a smaller venue, less noisy nearer to Executive rooms. Enjoyed breakfasts outside at the Terrace restaurant. Found the roaming flashing lights in the Dome very distracting when watching shows.
✓ Lovely location with great views and lots of throngs to do.
✗ The front desk staff were very rude, but I noticed this was only with the female staff. I expressed my dissatisfaction with my room, which I asked for a double bed, as I was travelling with my child. The hotel front desk staff, demonstrated they didn’t care at all, and I was asked by one female staff “Why am I so upset” which showed her lack of empathy for my situation. Not to mention that the check was at 3 pm, although online, it’s at 2 pm. I didn’t receive my room until 4:15 pm. Keep in mind that I arrived at the hotel at 1 pm. The next day I wanted to speak to the manager. When I arrived at the front desk, I asked for the manager (she was present at the time but walked off when one of the young girls spoke in their language, keep in mind they both spoke English). After 5 or 10 minutes, she returned, and it was clear she would not help. The only resolution was for the two single beds to be pushed together…this is how was spent the next five nights. So, in short, I was not too fond of the female font deck staff. They were all dismissive, and all looked like they didn’t want to check me in or out, but that could be because I was a woman of colour. The male front desk (older gentleman) was lovely. All staff who were friendly received a tip. But I feel like if you’re unhappy or racist, you should not be working in a hotel as all kinds of people will come and stay, and your negative energy and outlook can affect one experience. My experience was better when I decided not to visit the front desk. Ps. I’m now back home, and I have yet to receive the iron that I requested—the hotel's lack of accountability.
