A brand new hotel located in The Bronx, Wingate By Wyndham Bronx Haven Park offers complimentary breakfast, Latin Fusion Restaurant Rosa's at Park, Valet parking 24/7, Rooftop, among others.

✓ The hotel is modern, it is clean. There is an elevator and in the lobby there is a water supply for cold potable water and sparkling water.
✗ It is not possible to open the window, so fresh air is only available starting the air condition. Due to heavy rains and to the fact that the hotel entrance is below street level in the basement, rain water flooded the lobby during breakfast time. People got their feet soaked. The neigbourhood is densely populated. The streets to get to the subway are fully crowded. Situated in the Bronx, the surroundings do not leave a very safe impression. Breakfast choice is rather poor consisting of pre-packed egg/sausage sandwiches from the supermarket.
✗ The breakfast was a bit basic. I don’t drink coffee so I couldn’t get a drink in my room and at breakfast it was either fruit tea or earl grey which I also don’t drink, so I didn’t get a hot drink all the time it was there.
✓ The staff was great!
✓ The restaurant in the lobby
✗ The room I had wasn’t big
✓ Flight out of LaGuardia was canceled. They checked us in after midnight and we’re very welcoming. Restaurant was very good. Service there was great also. Fresh cold water available to fill my water bottle. Fitness center had yoga mats (thank you). Clever use of space, similar to some smaller European hotel rooms I’ve been in.
✗ The neighborhood was really depressing. Not one nice thing to say about it. Not dangerous, just depressing.
✓ The staff were exceptional, especially Joaslie who was a delight and very welcoming. I was bale to store my bags before I left and it was a nice vibrant venue underneath, but it was all over by 9.45/10pm on the Sunday so I wasn't disturbed all night. If you are near the lift shaft or on the side facing the train tracks bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper like me. The area is great in my opinion and is very similar to where I live in London, good honest folk trying to get by. I would say that I felt more comfortable walking in the neighborhood during the day, however, I am a solo woman. Great transport connections and a great spot with just what you need. Thank you!
✓ The staff was excellent. Everybody were very helpful and kind. The breakfast was a great addition although kind of limited in options.
✗ The neighborhood was a little sketchy at night, especially when commuting with the subway. However the nearest subway stop is just around the corner from the hotel.
✓ Great service when changing the defect safe.
✗ Fresh fruit basket fro BF would be appreciated
